عزت بخشنده، پیرمرد هفتاد ساله‌ای است که وضع مالی بسیار خوبی دارد، صاحب پنج فرزند دختر شده که دو دخترش را از دست داده و بقیهٔ دخترانش ازدواج
... کرده‌اند. دامادهای آقا عزت، گرچه آدم‌های با شخصیت و خوبی به نظر می‌رسند اما از نظر مالی شرایط ناگواری دارند و عزت با حمایت همسرش شوکت تصمیم دارد بخشی از دارایی خود را به دخترها و دامادهایش بدهد تا بلکه در زنده بودنش خوشحالی آن‌ها را ببیند. در جلسه‌ای که برای تنظیم وصیت‌نامه و تقسیم اموال برگزار می‌شود، بین دامادها بر سر ارثیه درگیری شدیدی پیش می‌آید. عزت که وضع را چنین می‌بیند وصیت‌نامه را پاره می‌کند و همه را از خانه‌اش می‌راند. پس از چند ماه عزت که دچار یک بیماری سخت شده بار دیگر با تشویق همسرش گناهان دامادهایش را می‌بخشد و مجدداً تصمیم به تقسیم ارثیه بین آنان می‌گیرد، اما هنگامی که عزت می‌خواهد وصیت‌نامه را امضا کند، حال شوکت به هم می‌خورد و زمانی که به پزشک مراجعه می‌کنند، با شگفتی از موضوع حامله بودن شوکت آگاه می‌شوند که باعث می‌شود تقسیم ارثیه بار دیگر به تعویق بیفتد، این در حالی است که سارا و سامان، دو نوهٔ عزت، نامزد هستند و هر بار ازدواج آن‌ها به دلیل امضا نشدن وصیت‌نامه به تعویق می‌افتد و همهٔ امید و آرزوی آن‌ها برای ازدواج کردن به امضای این وصیت‌نامه بستگی دارد. از طرفی، دامادهای خانواده که می‌فهمند مادرزنشان حامله است از ترس اضافه شدن ورثهٔ تازه سعی می‌کنند کاری کنند که بچهٔ شوکت خانم سقط شود. اما همهٔ نقشه هایشان در این راه، ناکام می‌ماند و در این مسیر بلاهای مختلفی سرشان می‌آید. پس از مدتی در آزمایش سونوگرافی معلوم می‌شود شوکت خانم سه قلو حامله است و هر سه فرزندش هم پسر هستند. بچه‌ها به دنیا می‌آیند و عروسی سارا و سامان هم برگزار می‌شود.
Ezzat is a wealthy family man who is enjoying his life to the fullest. He runs a big and happy family with his wife, daughters, and sons-in-law. He has a perfect life except one small problem. His sons-in-law are not rich enough and this makes Ezzat upset and discontent. As a solution to this problem, Ezzat decides to give some of his wealth to his daughters and sons-in-law. On the day of distributing his wealth, there happens a serious argue among his sons-in-law over Ezzat's fortune. When Ezzat sees his sons-in-law's greed and ignominy, he tears his will apart and this makes his sons-in-law sorry for what they did. After a while, Ezzat is sick with a fatal disease and is then urged by his wife to distribute his wealth among his sons-in-law. The second time he is dividing his fortune among his sons-in-law, they seem more well-behaved. The problem this time is that Ezzat's wife is pregnant. The sonography shows that Shokat is pregnant with three baby boys and this stops the whole fortune distribution. The sons-in-law all get jealous and worried. They are anxious that the would-be born babies will get a bigger share of the inheritence according to Iran's law. Therefore, they decide to secretly conspire a plan so that Shokat aborts her babies, but every time their plans are thwarted. Two of Ezzat's grandchildren, Sara and Saman (cousins), are among the most upset about the stoppage of the fortune's distribution plan. The story is that Sara and Saman's marriage gets cancelled by the failure of this plan. Comically enough,finally , everything is settled down...the babies are born, the cousins are married and the sons-in-law attain a lot of money.
